About us: Espresso Accountants Ltd (Company No. 15374472), International House, 64 Nile Street, London N1 7SR. Email: ss@espressoaccountants.co.uk.
These Terms govern your use of our website and any orders you place for our service packages through the website.
If you purchase a package online, that purchase is only the first step in onboarding. You are not our client until KYC/AML checks are completed and our Letter of Engagement is agreed.
If there is any conflict between these Terms and our Letter of Engagement, the Letter of Engagement takes precedence for the services. These Terms and the Letter of Engagement work together.
You must use the website lawfully and not misuse it.
All content on the site is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse it without permission.
We may change or withdraw the website without notice.
You can select monthly or annual pricing shown at checkout. Prices are in GBP and inclusive or exclusive of VAT as stated. If VAT becomes chargeable, it will be added at the prevailing rate.
Payment is taken by our payment partners (e.g. Stripe, GoCardless). You must ensure your payment details are valid and that you are authorised to use them.
After payment, we will invite you to complete onboarding (KYC/AML and our Letter of Engagement). No regulated services will commence before these are complete.
Buying a package online does not create an accountant–client relationship.
You become a client only when: (a) we complete KYC/AML checks; and (b) our Letter of Engagement is agreed.
If onboarding cannot be completed successfully, we will refund the purchase.
We do not charge interest on late or missed payments.
If a payment fails or is overdue, we may:
(a) pause access to services or onboarding;
(b) cancel discounts or promotional prices for future periods;
(c) terminate the order or engagement if the issue is not remedied; and
(d) apply a reasonable administrative charge to recover our estimated costs of handling failed payments or chargebacks (we will keep this modest and proportionate), at a rate of £120 per hour.
We are happy to work with you to agree fair remedies which avoid interest and align with our ethical approach.
Our services are designed for businesses. If you purchase as a consumer, you may have statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Where applicable, you have 14 days to cancel after purchase unless you ask us to begin work sooner and acknowledge you may lose the right to cancel once the service is fully performed.
The above does not affect your legal rights.
We comply with applicable professional standards and UK anti-money-laundering regulations.
You agree to supply the information we reasonably require to satisfy our legal duties and onboarding.
If onboarding fails (for example, due to incomplete or unsatisfactory KYC), we will refund your purchase.
If you cancel before onboarding is complete, we will refund any fees for work not yet started.
Once the Letter of Engagement is in place, refunds, scope and deliverables are governed by the Letter of Engagement.
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any matter which cannot be excluded by law.
Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, our liability for website use and pre-engagement purchase handling is limited to the price you paid for the affected order.
For the accounting services themselves, liability is governed by the Letter of Engagement.
We own the intellectual property in the website and materials we provide, except your own records and data.
Our Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy explain how we handle personal data and cookies. Please read them before purchasing.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any new Terms will supersede the old ones once you have been informed, usually by email.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
Letter of Engagement: the written agreement between us and a client setting out the terms of our professional services, which takes precedence over these Terms where there is any conflict.
